Being satisfied and feeling fulfilled are what we all ultimately strive for. Happiness with our livesis the very reason we do just about anything. So ask yourself: Am I really satisfied with my life? If the answer is no, it’s time to re-evaluate and change. Life-satisfaction is the overall assessment of how pleased or content we are with our life.We go through different seasons where we are more fulfilled and satisfied than other times.Sometimes life is wonderful. We’re satisfied with the situations, people, and roles we fill. Other times we can’t seem to take our focus off of the negative or the things we wish were different. When we experience frustration, disappointment, rejection, loss, and failure it can feel like a gut punch to our outlook on life.To lead a satisfying life, take some time to reflect on the things below.

Transform Your Thought Process

The first step to overcoming any issue, no matter what it, is to change your thinking towards it. And you have probably heard this a lot and think “yeah, whatever” but it continues to be the most important step towards satisfaction. You must begin to think Positive. Change your perspective. Maybe losing your job was not such a bad thing so you can pursue your passion. If your thoughts remain positive it gives you the strength and commitment to continue. Positivity is a mandatory requirement to achieve whatever you wish to achieve. You must master it.

Remember Materialism leads to Emotional Poverty

Even if we have all the riches in the world, the constant desire for more causes emotional deprivation. It’s important to cherish what you have, and appreciate the personal and influential significance of your possessions.

Slow Down

There are times when you are so used to doing everything in a hurry that you don’t notice how fast-paced your life has become. Simply reading the words, “Slow down,” will allow you to pause for a moment and notice. Avoid multi-tasking. It has become popular, if not clichéd, to multi-task. Research indicates, however, that there is a point where the quality of what you are doing declines when you try to focus on too many tasks at once.Just because everyone is doing it doesn’t mean you have to.Your goal is to do things well so you can feel good about your accomplishments.Do nothing as if it were something. There is an art to doing nothing. Many people struggle with taking time to pause and regroup. Even if it is taking a five-minute break to do nothing, do it.

Practice Acts of Kindness

These should be both random and systematic. Being kind to others, whether friends or strangers, triggers a cascade of positive effects—it makes you feel generous and capable, gives you a greater sense of connection with others and wins you smiles, approval and reciprocated kindness — all happiness boosters.

Trust change, Trust Life

“Time to make a move,” said this inner voice. ” Trust life. Trust your own inner wisdom. And above all — trust the process of change that is at work in our world. It’s possible, more than possible, that it knows what it’s doing – and that back of the apparent confusion and chaos in our lives and everywhere else an unshakable order and purpose is at work with blessing in its wings.

Allow Yourself to Feel Enjoyment

Competition and winning can be enjoyable – but those moments are fleeting. The idea is to enjoy the process that gets you there as well as your success.Take a hard look at what you learned in childhood about feeling great about not only the hard work it takes to succeed, but also about success. Many people are brought up only to appreciate and value struggle. They’re the opposite of those who value the destination, not the journey.Either set of values is incomplete. To feel fulfilled and satisfied, you must be able to enjoy each part of moving toward your goals: the doing and the completion of doing. That will eventually lead you to a more fulfilling life.
